b)The localizer shall have the following performance, structure, etc.:
(。)It shall emit a carrier wave of modulated frequency and an identification signal for the purpose of providing guidance on the horizontal displacement of the course concerned, obtained from the difference in percentage modulation depth between the two waves, for an aircraft making a precision approach along an ILS course line.
(「)It shall produce a composite field pattern in space by transmitting the 90 Hz and 150 Hz tones, and a radio frequency carrier which is amplitude modulated by an identification signal.
(」)The composite field shall be such that the percentage of modulation by the 150 Hz modulated waves is greater than the 90 Hz modulated waves on the right side of the course line and 90 Hz modulated waves is greater than the 150 Hz modulated waves on the left side of the course line (the average locus of points nearest to the runway center at which DDM (the value obtained when the absolute value of the difference in the percentage of modulation of the two modulated waves is divided by 100, hereinafter the same shall apply) , as seen from the direction of an aircraft on an approach using the ILS concerned.
(、)The emissions from the localizer shall be horizontally polarized, and shall not include a vertically polarized component exceeding the following values:-
I. For a localizer of the Facility Performance Category I-ILS (an ILS for which the minimum height for the precession approach, using an ILS concerned, is 60 meters or more above the horizontal plane of the threshold (approach end of the runway threshold on which a landing is made by an aircraft using the ILS concerned, hereinafter, the same shall apply):the value which corresponds to DDM indicated on the localizer receiver when an aircraft is positioned on the course line and in a roll attitude of 20 degrees from the horizontal shall be 0.0 16.
II. For a localizer of the Facility Performance Category II-ILS (an ILS for which the minimum height for the precession approach, using an ILS concerned, is not more than 30 meters above the horizontal plane of the threshold (the approach end of the runway threshold on which a landing is made by an aircraft using the ILS concerned, hereinafter, the same shall apply):the value which corresponds to a DDM indicated on the localizer receiver when an aircraft is positioned on the course line and in a roll attitude of 20 degrees from the horizontal shall be 0.008.
III. For a localizer of the Facility Performance Category III-ILS (an ILS for which the minimum height for the precession approach, using the ILS concerned, is not more than 30 meters above the horizontal plane of the runway threshold, hereinafter, the same shall apply):within a range of not more than a
